Meghan McKechnie, L.A.c LMT
Acupuncturist and massage therapist
Born in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and raised in Tampa, Florida, Meghan McKechnie’s passion for assisting people in their healing process came at an early age. She began her natural medicine path as a teenager searching for answers to her health issues; this search ignited a passion to help people heal their bodies. Meghan attended Cortiva Institute in Pinellas Park, Florida, where she graduated with a degree in massage therapy in 2009.
She then studied at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida, later transferring to Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado where she graduated in December 2015, with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture.
She holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture from the NCCAOM.
A licensed Esthetician for 13 years Kelly originally started off going to Cosmetology school. Once realizing that the skin care portion of Cosmetology was lacking, she returned to become an Esthetician a year later. Being classically trained at an Aveda based school she was fortunate enough to have a teacher that was opening to teaching all different modalities.
Kelly has worked in a salon/spa with 40+ employees that specialized in skin care, massage, nail care and hair care. Training under the owner of that spa taught her the importance of hard work ethic and listening to her client’s goals and needs.
In 2008 Kelly and her husband moved to Florida where she did a full 180 and worked in a spa with a total of 3 employees. With this experience she learned how to manage all spa settings as each day you had worked alone. This is where Kelly realized her calling was to open a Spa herself.
A 3-day road trip some years later, Kelly and her husband with the addition of their 2 pups Captain and Lola found themselves in Colorado. A new view and a new climate (where is the air and the humidity here?) put Kelly to the test. This is where Remedy Skin Studio was born. With her family and friends rallying around her, a small skin care studio was born with the goal of “Remedying” the skin from these harsh climates of Colorado.
With her most popular #NotSoBasicFacial , Kelly has been building individualized esthetic services for her clients for 3 years now. With medical based services like Microneedeling, and Chemical Peels she is able to bring vibrancy back to her clients skin in a supremely dry area. Specialized facials that range from anti-aging with micro-current technology and acne protocols are just a few of the services she takes care of.
Spending years researching the best products for her clients, Kelly’s heart and soul goes in to everything she bring in to Remedy Skin Studio. It’s the small town skin care studio with a touch of sass.
