What is Wellness Coaching?

Integrative Wellness Coaching is an approach to patient care that combines nutrition and lifestyle to incorporate wellness into everyday life. True wellness goes beyond just what you consume. Your career, relationships, creativity, finances, social life, and home environment all play a role in health. Just as you can have vitamin or mineral deficiencies, so too, can you have deficiencies in your routine and life that contribute to illness and dis-ease. By looking at the whole picture, we are able to explore how what you consume and what consumes your time either nourish or deplete you.

What does an Integrative Wellness Coach do?

In today’s world, health is more crucial than ever. Too often, we treat patients at Gateway Natural Medicine who have been given a whole lifetime of poor nutrition and health advice. We offer wellness coaching for both existing patients, as well as patients new to Gateway Natural Medicine. If you currently have a practitioner you see at Gateway, ask them how wellness coaching could fit into your current health plan. If you aren’t yet established as a patient, call to set up a complimentary 15 minute consultation with a practitioner.

Who will my Coach be?

Dawn Noyes is our dedicated Wellness Coach. She earned her Integrative Nutrition Coaching certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she received in-depth training in nutrition, health and wellness, coaching skills, and business development. Recognizing a need for techniques to overcome emotional eating, she has completed courses for this specific concern. She is also a Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), HypnoTherapy and MER® (Mental & Emotional Release technique) which helps patients overcome limiting believes, release attachment to unhealthy behaviors, and break through the “plateau” that many seem to get stuck at. Dawn coaches individuals and groups on how to integrate nutrition into a healthy lifestyle, as well as leads workshops on nutrition, mindfulness, and home health using natural alternatives.
